Thrively is partnering with an established and growing healthcare technology company that is transforming how healthcare providers and payers connect, exchange information, and manage critical financial transactions.
Operating at the intersection of healthcare, SaaS, and payments technology, the company delivers technology solutions that simplify complex administrative workflows, improve operational efficiency, and help healthcare organizations get paid faster and more accurately.
With an established market presence, a technology-driven business model, and continued opportunities for innovation and expansion, the organization offers an exciting environment for finance professionals who want to do more than report the numbers. This is an opportunity to help shape how a growing business makes decisions, allocates resources, and plans for the future.
The company values collaboration, intellectual curiosity, accountability, and a willingness to challenge the status quo. Its culture emphasizes thoughtful execution, continuous improvement, humility, and meaningful business impact.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to take a leading role in financial planning, forecasting, performance reporting, and strategic decision support.
Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this individual will own the day-to-day execution of the company's annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning. You'll partner closely with senior leaders across Finance, Sales, Product, and other business functions to translate financial data into actionable insights.
This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to the CFO, executive leadership team, and board of directors. You'll play an important part in how the company evaluates performance, identifies opportunities, manages financial risks, and makes investment decisions.
Beyond traditional FP&A responsibilities, we're looking for someone who is excited about building better processes, leveraging business intelligence and AI tools, and bringing greater efficiency and sophistication to financial reporting and analysis.
The right person will combine strong financial modeling expertise with business curiosity, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine desire to influence business outcomes.
What You'll Do
Own Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning, partnering with the VP of Finance and department leaders to establish assumptions, timelines, and financial targets.
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve sophisticated financial models supporting revenue planning, expense management, profitability, and strategic initiatives.
- Develop driver-based forecasts that accurately reflect business performance and help leadership understand potential risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to establish budget accountability and provide ongoing visibility into performance against plan.
Deliver Financial Insights to Executive Leadership
- Own monthly financial reporting packages, including revenue and EBITDA analysis, variance commentary, and key business performance trends.
- Prepare quarterly financial presentations and supporting analyses for the CFO, executive leadership team, and board of directors.
- Translate complex financial information into clear, compelling insights and recommendations that business leaders can act on.
- Proactively identify emerging financial trends, explain performance drivers, and recommend actions to improve business outcomes.
- Support quarterly lender reporting, financial covenant calculations, and other financial reporting requirements.
Partner Across the Business
- Serve as a trusted financial partner to leaders across Sales, Product, and other functional areas.
- Develop and maintain meaningful KPIs to evaluate business performance, including bookings, customer retention, and returns on product investments.
- Lead financial analyses supporting pricing strategies, contract decisions, new investments, and other strategic business initiatives.
- Help business leaders understand the financial implications of their decisions and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting, streamline forecasting, and reduce manual financial processes.
- Leverage AI tools, business intelligence platforms, and emerging technologies to improve the speed, quality, and accessibility of financial analysis.
- Maintain and improve financial dashboards and reporting tools, collaborating with IT and data teams to enhance data quality and integration.
- Establish clear documentation and repeatable processes for financial models, reporting methodologies, and key assumptions.
- Support the development and mentorship of FP&A analysts, with the potential to take on formal people leadership responsibilities as the team grows.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or a closely related field.
- Advanced financial modeling capabilities, including the ability to build and maintain complex, multi-tab, driver-based financial models.
- Expert-level Excel proficiency and a strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Experience preparing financial reporting, presentations, or analyses for executive leadership, boards of directors, or investors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect financial results to underlying business drivers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and business intelligence tools; experience with NetSuite and Power BI is particularly valuable.
- Practical familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude, along with an interest in using emerging technology to improve financial workflows.

- Experience analyzing revenue drivers, customer retention, bookings, and other operational KPIs.
- Previous experience coaching, mentoring, or managing financial analysts.
- MBA, CPA, or CFA designation.
What Success Looks Like
We believe the strongest FP&A professionals do more than produce accurate reports. They help organizations make better decisions.
In this role, success means:
- Trusted financial partnership: Business leaders actively seek your perspective because you understand their priorities and provide actionable recommendations.
- Reliable planning and forecasting: Leadership has confidence in the company's financial models, assumptions, forecasts, and reporting.
- Clear executive visibility: The CFO, executive team, and board receive timely, accurate financial information that makes performance, risks, and opportunities easy to understand.
- Continuous improvement: You identify opportunities to introduce automation, AI, and more scalable reporting processes that reduce manual work and accelerate decision-making.
- Proactive problem-solving: You don't just identify variances or unexpected trends. You investigate what's driving them and bring thoughtful recommendations to the table.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain spreadsheets and distribute monthly reports.
You'll have meaningful ownership of the financial planning function, direct access to senior leadership, and the opportunity to influence important business decisions across an established healthcare technology organization.
You'll also join a company that values innovation and continuous improvement, with the opportunity to help shape how modern tools, automation, and AI are incorporated into the finance organization.
For someone who enjoys combining deep analytical work with strategic business partnership, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact while continuing to grow as a finance leader.
