Job summary

RDO Equipment Co. in Fargo, ND, is seeking a seasoned Financial Planning & Analysis leader to guide the FP&A team, drive performance, and deliver actionable insights that influence decisions.

You will partner with executives and field leadership to enhance budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, shaping long-term financial strategy and business growth in a collaborative, data-driven environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 8+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & develop Financial Planning & Analysis team members while driving performance and growth.
  • Analyze financial and operational results to provide actionable insights that support decision-making and business performance.
  • Conduct what-if analysis and evaluate the financial impact of business changes and new opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with executives and field leadership to support action planning and business decisions.
  • Improve budgeting and planning accuracy while supporting long-term financial strategies.
  • Develop and refine key performance indicators and reporting to improve visibility and drive results.

What You Will Do

What You Will Need
  • Education & Experience – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, with 8+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or related fields.
  • Leadership Skills – Proven ability to lead initiatives, develop teams, and influence cross‑functional partners.
  • Problem‑Solving Ability – Strong judgment and resourcefulness to navigate complex business challenges.
  • Analytical Thinking – Advanced ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Financial Expertise – Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial planning, and business analysis.
  • Valid Work Authorization: Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
