Job summary

RDO Equipment Co. is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to support field leadership with timely, actionable financial insights and strategic partnership across the organization.

The role combines budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to drive informed decisions and long-term planning. You will translate data into meaningful insights, collaborate with operation leaders, and help identify opportunities to improve business performance within a large, nationwide team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, planning, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to see the broader business context.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing business planning. Develop and refine rolling/perpetual budgets by analyzing revenue, costs, expenses, and operational drivers.
  • Performance Analysis and Insights: Prepare regular financial analyses for assigned regions or locations, including department, store, or function‑level insights. Evaluate KPIs and their impact on financial results and long‑term initiatives.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with General Managers to support development, tracking, and refinement of action plans; provide ongoing consultation on performance, risks and opportunities.
  • Process Improvement and Strategic Support: Help streamline planning, reporting, and analysis processes to improve efficiency and clarity; assist incentives/bonus plan criteria alignment.

What You Will Do:

What You Will Need:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, planning, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to see the broader business context. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; comfort working with large data sets and multiple data sources.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Valid work authorization: Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
