Job summary

Planview invites students to join Austin, TX as a paid Finance internship this summer (2027). You’ll gain hands-on experience across Corporate Development, Strategic Finance, and Accounting, supporting M&A, capital markets, and strategic planning while learning from leaders. This role offers exposure to FP&A, budgeting, dashboards, and process automation, with a focus on data-driven insights that help Planview make informed strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Eligible students enrolled in a university program; recent graduates welcome.
• Available to work from Planview's Austin, TX office for the duration of the internship.
• Interest in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or Economics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the company’s strategic vision with senior leaders.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Build and maintain long-term financial models to support planning.
• Identify, evaluate, and pursue M&A opportunities with the team.
• Support budgeting, variance analysis, and leadership dashboard prep.
• Assist in capital-raising efforts and evaluate optimal capital structures.

We’re looking for Financial Planning and Analysis interns to join our team in Austin, Texas, in the summer of 2027. In this role, you will have opportunities to work across teams with Corporate Development, Strategic Finance, and Accounting on M&A, Capital Markets, and Strategic Planning.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Planning & Analysis:

• Collaborate with senior management to define and execute the company’s strategic vision.
• Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop and maintain long-term financial models to support strategic planning.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A):

• Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of M&A opportunities.
• Perform due diligence, including financial analysis, valuation, and risk assessment.
• Manage deal negotiations, structuring, and integration processes.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

• Support the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning.
• Analyze financial performance, including variance analysis, and provide actionable insights.
• Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior leadership.

Capital Markets & Fundraising:

• Assist in capital raising efforts, including equity and debt financing.
• Maintain relationships with investment banks, private equity firms, and other financial institutions.
• Evaluate and recommend optimal capital structures to support business objectives.

Corporate Strategy & Initiatives:

• Drive cross-functional initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
• Partner with business units to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
• Monitor and report on industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes.

Process Automation

• Work with the team to implement new and better Automation and Agentic processes
• Assist with data cleaning and data integration processes

What You’ll Bring

These roles are open to students currently enrolled in an accredited University or college program, with a preference for students in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Economics, or recent graduates. Candidates must be available to work from our Austin office for the duration of the internship.
