JCW Group seeks a Financial Planning Associate to join their rapidly growing independent advisory team. This early-career role offers exposure to financial planning, investment management, and client relationship management while collaborating with experienced advisors.

You will support planning engagements, gather data, prepare materials, and help deliver comprehensive financial plans. A bachelor's in finance and 2+ years in wealth management are preferred; CFP or enrollment in CFP coursework

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, financial services, or a related field; OR relevant internship experience and/or coursework in financial planning, investments, retirement planning, or wealth management.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a long-term career in financial planning and wealth management.
  • CFP or enrolled in CFP coursework
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Assist advisors in preparing comprehensive financial plans, retirement analyses, cash flow projections, and investment recommendations.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze client financial data to support planning engagements.
  • Prepare meeting materials, planning presentations, and client deliverables.
  • Participate in client meetings and document follow-up action items.
  • Conduct research on financial planning topics, investment strategies, insurance solutions, and retirement planning concepts.
  • Utilize financial planning software to develop projections and model planning scenarios.
  • Support ongoing client service needs and planning updates.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure data integrity within CRM and planning systems.
  • Collaborate with advisors and operations personnel to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Stay current on industry trends, planning strategies, and regulatory developments.

The Financial Planning Associate will support the firm's advisors in delivering comprehensive financial planning services and helping clients achieve their long-term financial goals.
