The Financial Operations Manager plays a critical role in the design and oversight of disbursement and related processes associated with accounts payable (AP), payroll, travel & entertainment (T&E), procurement, commissions, and claims. This position ensures the efficient, accurate and controlled disbursement of funds across one or more Divisions. The Senior Financial Operations Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, develops procedures, evaluates controls, monitors workflows, and makes decisions to optimize financial/disbursement operations.

This position will be in Omaha NE, and is hybrid eligible at manager discretion. This position is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship.

What will you do?

  • Maintain a complete understanding of the current claim ecosystem to establish and maintain associated controls for each claim disbursement channel.
  • Manage the payroll function for one or more BHHC Divisions and related controls.
  • Oversee the T&E lifecycle for one or more BHHC Divisions.
  • Lead the procurement function.
  • Operate as the subject matter expert over various banking/funding relationships.
  • Oversee the AP disbursement workflow for one or more BHHC Divisions and related controls.
  • Oversee integrations of various applications into existing financial information systems.
  • Act as the finance subject matter expert for MAR within one or more BHHC Divisions. Understand controls and their intent within the overall risk matrix.
  • Develop staff by progressively delegating more difficult duties and encouraging department interaction. Evaluate job performance, interview job candidates, and recommend personnel actions.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 or more years related work experience.
  • Expertise in GAAP.
  • Knowledge and experience with statutory accounting principles.

  • Strong management skills, including motivation, delegation, organizing workflow, training, planning, and prioritization.
  • Ability to work accurately with detail and organize many different tasks simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Willingness to work substantial overtime during seasonal demand as situation dictates.
  • Ability to research, review, and analyze financial information.
  • Ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
