The Ohio State University is seeking a Financial Operations Associate within the Student Life division to guide and advise on funding usage and to oversee administrative support and training. This is a hybrid position with some evenings and weekends required.
The role interacts with Undergraduate Student Government, Council of Graduate Students, and other student groups, handling awards, allocations, purchasing, and financial reporting with attention to policy compliance and accuracy.

Reporting to the Associate Director, the Financial Operations Associate leverages specialized knowledge and expertise to guide and advise Student Governments, as supported by the Student Activities team, on the ethical and appropriate use and management of their funds and creates, monitors, and oversees relevant administrative support and training.
As a student-facing position, this role has constant interactions with the Undergraduate Student Government, Council of Graduate Students, and Inter-Professional Council, and other areas that may need support.
The Financial Operations Associate manages various awards and allocation processes and the timelines and distribution processes for student governments’ award programs while ensuring compliance with University and Student Life purchasing and accounts payable policies and procedures. This role also must perform work with a high-attention to detail to navigate the complexity of the various forms of student funding including the student activity fee, general funds, development funds, and grant funding and the communication of the use of funds with high-achieving students.
This is a hybrid work position.
Limited evenings and weekends will be required.
