Binghamton University's Auxiliary Services is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to support a growing portfolio of campus partnerships. This position manages financial operations, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting across dining services, bookstore, vending, licensing, laundry, and related operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, proficiency in Excel, and knowledge of internal controls and GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of internal controls, risk management and audit processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Preferred: 1+ year of professional accounting experience; GAAP knowledge; proficiency with Financial Edge or Banner.

Responsabilités

• Enter journal entries and perform reconciliations in Financial Edge.
• Download bank detail, upload credit card deposits, and reconcile statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and audit documentation.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and vendor records; monitor aging.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to leadership.
