Based in East London with a hybrid work model, you will lead the finance function, oversee reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow, and provide strategic insight to executive leadership.

You will manage a finance team, liaise with auditors and advisors, ensure statutory and tax compliance, and drive process improvements to support growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA), ACCA or CIMA) essential.
• 7+ years progressive financial management experience preferred.

The Financial Manager will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, providing strategic financial insights, and supporting the executive team in decision-making. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the finance department, including accounting, payroll, and treasury functions.

• Ensure robust internal controls are in place and operating effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) is required.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive financial management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS) and South African tax laws.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Pastel) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage a finance team and work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
• Experience in the manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Eastern Cape region.
