Job summary

Power Wellness is seeking a Financial Manager in Lombard, IL for oversight of accounting activities across fitness centers. You will serve as a liaison between the Controller, CFO and Administrative Account Coordinators.

The role requires preparing month-end entries, financial statements, budgets, and ensuring internal controls, audits, and compliance. Hybrid work with three days in-office and two days remote.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in business and/or accounting.
• Five years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Proficiency in Sage 100 accounting software, fitness center management software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month end journal entries, financial statements and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. Analyzes same for reasonableness, completeness and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. Identify and resolve variances.
• Financial reporting including but not limited to; monthly financial statements, quarterly reports, financial key indicators, center key indicators, center financial statements and benchmarks.
• Preparation of budgets and business plans collaboratively with Center Director and/or Operations Director and VP of Operations.
• Oversight of cash requirements.
• Fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
• Monitor established internal controls and assure proper compliance. Recommend changes in policies/procedures as needed.
• Prepare for and assist with internal and external audits.
• Risk Management – vendor insurance certificates, W-9’s and 1099’s.
• Participate in Company's HIPAA and related training.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during interactions and work-related relationships with all persons at the center including but not limited to members, guests and employees as provided in the Employee Handbook at the time of hire.

• Ability to manage multiple projects with a high level of organizational skill and efficiency.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with co-workers in a positive, service-based manner and proven leadership, training and supervisory skills.
