Job summary

Power Wellness in Lombard, IL, is seeking an Accounting & Finance Manager to lead the corporate finance team in a hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 days WFH). The position focuses on billing, AR/AP, GL, and month-end close, with responsibility for financial reporting and liaison to auditors and IT vendors.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 5+ years of progressive experience, supervisory background, and strong Excel/ERP skills (Sage).

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience supervising accounting staff.
• Strong financial reporting and audit background.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• 1. Supervise accounting team responsible for billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger entries and reconciliations.
• 2. Participate in and help lead month and year end close and review process.
• 3. Prepare monthly financial reporting and various analyses.
• 4. Contribute toward year-end audits - prepare workpapers, etc.
• 5. Various project work, including key liaison for our financial systems with IT, consultants and outside vendors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience, including experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated experience supervising and developing accounting team members.
• Financial reporting and analytical skills and experience.
• Experience with audits and audit workpaper preparation.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial/general ledger system (SAGE ERP or similar) required.
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with a high level of organizational skill and efficiency.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with co-workers in a positive, service-based manner.
