ASRC Federal Advanced Research (AFAR), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal Holding Company, is currently recruiting for a remoteFinancial Management Team Lead to support a potential contract with a federal government client located in Silver Spring, MD. This is a remote position supporting business hours aligned to the Eastern Time Zone.
Key Role:
The selected candidate will oversee a small team providing budget and financial management support for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) /National Weather Service (NWS). The candidate will lead the team’s development of business process improvements, to help federal staff save time, as well as creating advanced, automated models to improve financial management tracking, including acquisitions, grants, and labor.
The candidate will first assess the condition, gaps, and potential improvement areas for the client’s financial management environment. This will be followed by detailed recommendations for process and documentation changes. The candidate will then oversee, create, and maintain the recommended and approved spreadsheets, tools, forms, templates, and instructions to support various monthly and quarterly budget execution reports and meetings. The candidate will review the data analysis provided by the team to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Flexibility and adaptability are key to this position, as well as the ability to independently solve problems with minimal direction.
