Job summary

Army National Guard Units in Draper, UT seeks a Financial Management Analyst (Title 5) to manage and optimize pay operations across Military, Civilian, and Vendor payments. You will examine, analyze, and interpret pay data to ensure compliance with federal regulations and NDAA requirements.

Independent work on complex pay problems, system proficiency (DJMS, DCPS, GFEBS, CAPS-W, MYUNITPAY, JSS, DMO, DTS), and collaboration with the Pay and Exam Branch are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or 2 years of graduate study in accounting, finance, economics, math, statistics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organizational management.
• You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims.
• This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position per NDAA 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional pay operations support for Military Pay, Civilian Pay, Accounts Payable and Travel pay to Soldiers and Civilians.
• Serve as the SME for day-to-day pay processing across systems and liaise with adjacent departments as needed.
• Review and reconcile pay accounts, correct pay irregularities, and ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Examine pay entitlements, determine eligibility using current regulations, and prepare documentation for payment or tax adjustments.
• Assist in training Financial Services Technicians in the Pay and Exam branch.

Education

Master's degree or higher or 2 years of graduate study in accounting, finance, economics, math, statistics, or related field
