Job summary

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS).

As a Financial Management Analyst, GS-0501-11/12, you will the incumbent will perform a variety of financial management duties and must have knowledge of financial principles and procedures in carrying out assignments.

Duties

• Furnishes technical interpretation and/or guidance to the financial managers regarding finance system requirements.
• Analyzes, forecasts, and interprets functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds, tracking and control of funds for the organization’s programs and activities.
• Research regulatory material to locate appropriate procedures for various financial transactions.
• Relates needs of the organization to anticipated and/or actual dollar figures in the budget.
