The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) Medicaid CHIP Services (MCS) division seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Senior Financial Analyst. MCS is driven by its mission to deliver quality, cost-effective services to Texans. This position makes a significant contribution to MCS’s mission by assisting in the review, analysis, and evaluation of complex financial data.
This position performs advanced (senior-level) financial analysis work involving reviewing and analyzing Managed Care Organization (MCO), Dental Maintenance Organization (DMO) and Medicare-Medicaid Plan (MMP) self-reported financial data; preparing reports and responding to inquiries; and recommending appropriate action to resolve complex financial issues. The Senior Financial Analyst works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
This position utilizes institutional knowledge of Medicaid and experience in the unique complexities of Medicaid/CHIP to effectively carry out financial analysis work.
