Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking a Financial Examiner for Supervision in District 2 (Loganville). The role verifies financial statement integrity, interprets laws and regulations, and conducts audits of regulated financial institutions.

You will perform credit analysis and oversee operations as you gain experience, traveling as required. The position includes a defined pension plan, 401(k) and 457 options, generous leave, and a hybrid work scheduling option where available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field from a four-year college or university with three courses in accounting/finance, one in accounting.
  • An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job/intern experience, training, or certifications may be substituted year-over-year.

Responsibilities

  • Perform operations examination duties including financial statement analysis, liquidity, asset/liability management, and securities evaluation.
  • Review audit records, reports, and financial data for regulated institutions for accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze assigned regulatory components as outlined in the Uniform Financial Institution Rating System.
  • Serve as operations manager as proficiency grows and perform credit analysis duties.
  • Communicate effectively with financial institution personnel, officers, and directors and coordinate with other agencies.
