Job Summary

The Fleet Management Solutions Financial Data Analytics team handles data mining, financial analysis, and reporting on Ryder's fleet of 150,000 vehicles. The team aims to optimize asset management strategies to maximize profitability and collaborates with Operations leadership to implement solutions and measure financial improvements. This role operates in a fast-paced environment utilizing cutting-edge analytics to promote data-driven decision making organization-wide.

Essential Functions

• Actively seek out new improvement areas, analyze root causes, and question assumptions for continuous enhancement.
• Collaborate with business partners to identify cost savings, model impacts on P&L, assess risks, and report progress and savings to leadership.
• Mine data using SQL to identify trends, determine causes, and advise on potential business actions.
• Create automated Power BI reports to communicate metrics and highlight improvement opportunities.
• Ensure data completeness and accuracy by working with Operations and IT to understand business processes and data storage.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI; knowledge of R, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling and how business actions impact financial statements.
• Proven ability to drive results using data insights.
• Passion for analyzing large datasets and collaborating with stakeholders to improve outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in Corporate Finance, Statistical Analysis, or Transportation Engineering.
