Summary

The Fleet Management Solutions Financial Data Analytics team is responsible for data mining, financial analysis, and reporting on the 150,000 vehicles owned by Ryder. The team determines optimal asset management strategies to maximize profitability and collaborates with Operations leadership to implement solutions and measure financial improvements. Operating in a fast-paced environment, the team utilizes advanced analytics to promote data-driven decision making throughout the organization.

Essential Functions

• Seek out new areas for potential improvement, analyze root causes, and challenge assumptions to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business partners to identify cost savings, model impacts on P&L, assess risks, create reports, and communicate savings to leadership.
• Mine data using SQL to identify trends, determine cause-and-effect, and advise on business actions to enhance results.
• Develop automated reports in Power BI to communicate performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
• Ensure data accuracy and completeness by working with Operations and IT to understand business processes and data management.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills And Abilities

• Proficiency with Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of SQL, R, Python, or similar scripting languages.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling and the impact of business actions on financial statements.
• Proven ability to leverage data insights to drive business results.
• Passion for analyzing large data sets and collaborating with stakeholders to improve outcomes.
• Ability to provide recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in Corporate Finance, Statistical Analysis, or Transportation Industrial Engineering preferred.
