Summary

The Fleet Management Solutions Financial Data Analytics team is responsible for data mining, financial analysis, and reporting on the 150,000 vehicles owned by Ryder. The team determines optimal asset management strategies to maximize profitability and collaborates with Operations leadership to implement solutions and measure financial improvements. Operating in a fast-paced environment, we utilize cutting-edge analytics to promote data-driven decision making across the organization.

Remote Work from Home

Essential Functions

1. Actively seek out new areas for improvement, analyze root causes, question assumptions, and pursue continuous improvement.
2. Collaborate with business partners to identify cost savings, model impacts on P&L, assess risks, create performance reports, and report savings to senior leadership.
3. Mine data using SQL to identify trends, determine cause-and-effect, and advise on potential business actions.
4. Create automated Power BI reports to communicate metrics and highlight improvement areas.
5. Ensure data completeness and accuracy by working with Operations and IT to understand business processes and data storage.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as R or Python.
• Advanced financial modeling skills and understanding of how business actions impact financial statements.
• Proven ability to drive results through data insights.
• Passion for analyzing large datasets and collaborating with stakeholders to improve outcomes.
• Ability to make recommendations to senior management based on data.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications
