Job summary

HydroJug, Inc. seeks a dedicated data analyst for Finance to partner with the CFO and Finance team. You will deliver brand‑level P&L reporting, supply FP&A inputs, and provide inventory accounting data, while collaborating with the BI & Data team to improve finance data quality.

You will build finance dashboards, perform variance analyses, and translate business questions into SQL outputs. This role is on‑site in Ogden, Utah.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a data analyst, FP&A analyst, or financial analyst role with a strong analytics component.
• Proficiency in SQL (BigQuery preferred); able to write and optimize queries independently
• Experience producing brand‑ or segment‑level P&L reporting, ideally in a multi‑channel retail or e‑commerce environment
• Familiarity with FP&A workflows: actuals vs. budget, variance analysis, rolling forecasts
• Working knowledge of inventory accounting concepts (COGS, landed cost, aged inventory)
• Experience with Looker, Tableau, or a comparable BI tool
• Strong attention to detail and a habits‑of‑accuracy mentality — Finance data errors have real consequences
• Clear communication with Finance stakeholders; comfortable presenting findings to the CFO

Responsibilities

• Brand‑Dimensioned Reporting — Build and maintain P&L views segmented by brand (HydroJug, Acta, Purelyte); keep Finance operating on current numbers
• FP&A Support — Deliver actuals, variance analysis, and forecast inputs on cadence; support budgeting cycles with data extracts and model‑ready outputs
• Inventory Accounting Inputs — Produce inventory valuation, COGS, and aged‑inventory reports that feed accounting entries
• Data Quality for Finance — Partner with the Data Quality analyst to ensure Finance‑critical data is validated, documented, and trustworthy
• Self‑Serve Enablement — Build Finance‑facing dashboards in Looker/Tableau so the team can pull their own numbers between reporting cycles
• Ad Hoc Analysis — Handle Finance's one‑off data requests; translate business questions into SQL queries and structured outputs

About the Role

This is the dedicated data analyst seat for Finance. You will partner daily with CFO Aaron Davis and the Finance team (Russ, Trent) to deliver brand‑dimensioned reporting, FP&A support, and inventory accounting data inputs. Finance has historically been under‑served by data — this role exists to fix that. You will work within the BI & Data team (reporting to the Data Lead) and be the Finance team's primary analytics resource.
