Qualifikationen

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal and external customers and to work independently or as a team member.
• Experience interpreting and applying basic policy, procedures and implement procedural and transactional changes.
• Experience performing data entry into automated financial systems.
• Experience preparing financial reports and running queries.
• Experience with file management to include purging and disposing of files in accordance with records retention guidelines and schedules.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and business principles sufficient to monitor and analyze data.
• Knowledge of office and program support activities.
• Skill in performing basic math calculations.
• Skill in the use of computers and software applications to include automated inventory software and Microsoft Office programs.

Aufgaben

• Accounts Payable: Verify and reconcile invoices to Cardinal receiver with data entry and determine charge distributions.
• Accounts Receivable: Data entry for AR documentation, ensure signatures/approvals, resolve discrepancies, run queries and produce financial reports.
• Administrative Duties: Assist with special projects, mail handling, receptionist duties as assigned.
• Administrative Support: Provide fiscal and accounting support to Districts and Divisions; respond to internal/external requests for financial documents.
• Financial Data: Run and maintain queries, compare expenditures, maintain reports and correct data errors.
• Inventory Data Processing: Data entry of receipts/issues into IMS and Cardinal; verify daily transactions and counts; resolve discrepancies.
• Policies and Procedures: Apply state and VDOT financial policies and procedures.
• SPCC Direct Charge and Procurement: Prepare requisitions/POs, process SPCC cards, run Cardinal reports, maintain files.
• Time and Attendance: Data entry of time/overtime/leave; apply HR policies; run queries.
• Travel: Process travel authorizations and reimbursements; verify charges and approvals; resolve discrepancies.
