Responsibilities

• Coordinate with departments to identify services and facilitate financial clearance and funding options.
• Educate staff on patient financial processes and No Surprises Act requirements.
• Prepare and facilitate Pre-Service CART requests for uninsured or underinsured patients.
• Verify insurance benefits and generate accurate self-pay and treatment estimates.
• Provide financial counseling on insurance benefits, liability, and payment options.
• Screen patients for financial assistance programs and connect to resources.
• Educate patients on financial responsibility and arrange pre-service collections and payments.
• Identify and resolve coverage, authorization, billing, and estimation issues with stakeholders.
• Maintain Epic work queues to ensure timely financial clearance and follow-up.
