Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin, MN is seeking a Financial Services Representative to guide patients, families, and staff through financial aspects, including insurance requirements, billing questions, and payment arrangements.

You will support financial counseling, insurance notifications, and revenue cycle tasks while upholding confidentiality and delivering excellent service in alignment with Riverwood’s standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in customer service, insurance, registration, billing, or healthcare financials preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance, patient billing, and payment arrangements is preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.

About the Position:

The Financial Services Representative serves as a primary resource for patients, providers, nursing staff, and other departments regarding patient financial services, insurance requirements, account resolution, and payment arrangements. This position is responsible for facilitating financial counseling, financial assistance, insurance notifications, complaint resolution, and revenue cycle support while ensuring exceptional customer service and compliance with organizational policies and payer requirements.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service, insurance, registration, billing, collections, or healthcare financial experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of healthcare insurance, patient billing, and payment arrangements preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information professionally.
