Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Financial Controller within the Corporate & Investment Bank’s Securitized Products Group to ensure accuracy and timeliness of GL, balance sheet and reporting. You will own control functions including reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, and month-end close, collaborating with controllers, middle office, tech, and operations.

The role requires 1+ year experience in accounting, a degree in a related field, and strong GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate 1+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related industry discipline
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Apply foundational knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards in a corporate environment
• Understand financial instruments and core accounting concepts, including general ledger management and balance sheet reconciliation
• Exhibit strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in financial data
• Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams, translating financial concepts for diverse stakeholders
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail and a controls-oriented mindset when managing high-volume, deadline-driven deliverables

Responsibilities

• Support the Corporate & Investment Bank's Securitized Products Group
• Work closely with line of business controllers, middle office, business managers, technology and operations
• Understand end-to-end flow of trading activities, booking models, product configurations, and trade economics to apply accounting policies and enhance controls
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of line of business income statement and balance sheet at month-, quarter-, and year-ends
• Engage in line of business initiatives and projects, be the financial control subject matter expert
• Proactively identify process and infrastructure enhancements and work with stakeholders to enact change
• Oversee preparation of the firm’s primary financial statements at quarter-end for earnings releases and SEC filings; post-closing entries and consolidation adjustments
• Perform various control procedures to ensure integrity of reported financial results
• Manage intercompany eliminations as part of the financial consolidation process
• Enhance the overall control environment around the financial reporting function
• Mobilize change to simplify processes and enhance controls
