Job summary

JPMorganChase & Co. is seeking a Controller in Corporate & Investment Bank to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting across trading businesses.

You will focus on reconciliations of general ledger, risk systems, and infrastructure controls throughout the trading lifecycle. You will collaborate with product controllers and entity teams to ensure timely BS & PL close, prepare financial statements, and lead control enhancements across month-, quarter-, and year-end processes.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to understand complex GL and risk systems.
• Proficient in Excel and data analysis for reconciliations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across teams.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Help support a specific line of business within the Corporate & Investment Bank.
• Work with line of business controllers, middle office, tech, and operations.
• Understand end-to-end trading flows to apply accounting policies and improve controls.
• Ensure integrity of income statement and balance sheet at close periods.
• Lead or participate in projects and financial control initiatives.
• Identify process or infrastructure improvements with stakeholders.
• Prepare the firm's primary financial statements for earnings and SEC filings.
• Oversee post-closing entries and consolidation adjustments.
• Conduct control procedures to ensure accuracy of results.
• Manage intercompany eliminations within consolidation processes.
• Enhance the control environment around financial reporting.
