Job summary

CapeShore Group is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to own the finance function for a growing payments business. You will work directly with leadership to build scalable processes, manage settlements and provide profitability insights by merchant and entity.

You will lead the financial close, forecasts and internal controls, while shaping the finance systems as the company scales rapidly.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in accounting and finance with ownership of financial close and controls.
• 3+ years in payments, merchant acquiring, Merchant of Record, PayFac or fintech operations.
• Proven experience reconciling processor settlements through bank deposits and merchant payouts.
• Strong Excel, accounting systems and cash-management skills.
• CPA, SQL or automation experience is a plus.

• Reconcile high-volume payments across processors, MIDs, banks and merchants, including fees, reserves, refunds and chargebacks.
• Lead month-end close, financial reporting, cash forecasting and multi-entity accounting.
• Manage merchant settlements, payouts, liquidity and financial controls.

• Build scalable, automated finance and reconciliation processes.

CapeShore is building a Merchant of Record platform for e-commerce and telehealth businesses. We’re looking for a hands‑on Financial Controller who wants more than a traditional accounting role: the opportunity to own finance, work directly with leadership and build the systems that support rapid growth.

What you’ll own
