A CPA who lives in the books and knows insurance. We’re not looking for a finance strategist - we need someone who can close the books, reconcile to the penny, and speak fluent insurance accounting. You’ll partner with engineers and experienced accountants to help automate GAAP-compliant accounting for premiums, claims, and reinsurance. You must know your LAEs from your IBNRs and get why ceding percentages matter.

You’ll thrive here if you have:

• CPA license (or passed all four exams and in the process of licensure)
• 2-3 years of insurance accounting experience (P&C strongly preferred)
• Hands-on experience closing books, not just reviewing them
• Comfort working with engineers to build systems, not just spreadsheets
• Experience at a carrier, MGA, reinsurer, or big 4 audit in insurance

You'll team up with engineers to automate insurance-specific processes, including:

• Premium recognition
• Claims reserves and LAE
• Reinsurance recoverables and ceding calculations
