Job summary

The Maquoketa Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Finance/Cashier professional to manage financial data, balance ledgers, and oversee cash flow. You will prepare financial reports for monthly board meetings, and contribute to strategic budgeting and vendor management.

You will also engage with the community, develop business opportunities, and ensure regulatory compliance in daily operations. This role combines financial stewardship with organizational governance duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field with 4–6 years’ experience.
• Proficient in financial data analysis and reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Confirms that the general ledger is in balance on a daily basis and monitors profitability.
• Oversees liquidity and cash position and bank processes.
• Prepares monthly financial reports and reviews tax information.
• Oversees accounts payable and vendor relationships.
• Develops proposals for new products and services and sales opportunities.
• Leads annual budgeting and participates in quarterly audits.
• Represents the organization in community relations and networking.
