About the Role

This senior position is responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance within the banking and finance sector. You will play a key role in managing the finance team, improving financial processes, and providing critical financial information to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is a seasoned accounting professional with strong leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of financial management principles, contributing to the fiscal health of the organization in East London .

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the day-to-day accounting operations of the company.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
• Lead the annual audit process and act as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
• Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or equivalent professional qualification is essential.

• Extensive knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
