You’ll manage daily financial activities, build scalable systems and processes, and take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Reporting directly to the founders, who have deep finance experience as former private equity investors, this role offers a unique opportunity to not just oversee day-to-day operations but also to gain a front-row seat in strategic decision-making across the company.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day financial operations, overseeing accounting functions including AR/AP management
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes with precision and efficiency
• Monitor and optimize cash flow management to support business operations
• Oversee payroll processing and commission payout structures
• Serve as primary liaison with our third-party bookkeeper
• Establish and refine accounting practices, procedures, and internal controls
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and analytical reports for leadership
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Ensure tax compliance and assist with audits as needed
• Provide strategic financial insights to guide business decisions
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization

Required Software Proficiency

• QuickBooks
• Stripe
• Excel (advanced modeling and dashboards)
• PowerPoint and Word
• HubSpot CRM
• Familiarity with general accounting software
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA a plus)
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with 3+ years in controller-level roles
• Experience with startups or high-growth environments preferred
• Strong FP&A and forecasting experience
• Data-driven with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong Excel skills and accounting software knowledge
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
• SaaS experience a plus
