Position Summary

Atmosphere Data Centers is seeking a Controller to lead the company’s accounting, financial reporting, and control functions in support of a rapidly growing, capital-intensive development platform. This role is responsible for maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s operational and strategic objectives.

The Controller will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and external advisors to establish and maintain a disciplined, scalable accounting and reporting environment. This position requires a detail-oriented, hands‑on finance professional with strong technical accounting and organizational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and general ledger integrity
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and supporting schedules
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures
• Coordinate annual audit activities and support external auditors
• Collaborate with the company’s PwC tax advisors on tax compliance and reporting matters
• Monitor accounting consistency and financial data accuracy across entities and projects
• Drive process improvements in accounting workflows and reporting practices
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities in coordination with the finance team
• Assist with lender, investor, and internal reporting requirements

Experience & Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred
• Strong experience in accounting, financial reporting, and close management
• Demonstrated expertise in GAAP and accounting controls
• Experience coordinating audits and working with external auditors
• Experience working with external tax advisors or tax compliance processes
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
• Highly detail‑oriented with a disciplined and structured work style
• Comfort operating in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments
• Data center, real estate, infrastructure, or construction industry experience considered a major plus

Reporting Structure

Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer, with regular interaction with external advisors and internal stakeholders.
