Job summary

RediMinds is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to build and run the day-to-day financial engine. You will ensure books integrity, drive a disciplined close, strengthen controls and reporting, and help scale the company with confidence.

Reporting to the CEO, you will provide timely financial information, improve visibility into performance, and maintain strong financial processes, systems and controls as RediMinds grows. Compensation: $130,000–$150,000 per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in the accounting/financial operations of a technology, software or SaaS business.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Experience managing close processes and producing timely financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Own core accounting functions including GL, AR, AP, payroll coordination, and month-/year-end close.
• Deliver accurate P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements monthly.
• Establish scalable accounting policies and internal controls for a growing company.
• Produce financial reporting that informs leadership on performance and drivers.
• Own budgeting, forecasts and variance analysis; support strategic decisions.

Job description

RediMinds is entering its next stage of growth, and we are looking for a hands‑on Financial Controller to build and run the day‑to‑day financial engine of the company. You will ensure the integrity of our books, establish a disciplined close, strengthen financial controls and reporting, and help build the financial foundation RediMinds needs to scale with confidence.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Controller will be the senior financial operator for the business and a trusted partner to the leadership team. You will provide reliable, timely financial information, bring greater visibility to business performance, and ensure the company’s financial processes, systems and controls remain strong as RediMinds grows.

What You Will Own

Own the core accounting function

• Take direct, hands‑on ownership of RediMinds’ accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll coordination, and month‑end and year‑end close.
• Own the monthly close and deliver accurate, timely financial statements (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow).
• Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure transactions are recorded correctly and consistently in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage banking, account reconciliations and working capital.
• Coordinate tax filings, external audits or reviews, and compliance with outside accountants and advisors.

Build strong financial controls

• Establish and document scalable accounting policies, processes and internal controls appropriate for a growing technology company.
• Create strong controls while maintaining the speed and practicality required in a growth‑stage business.
• Safeguard company assets and reduce financial and compliance risk.
• Determine when and where additional controls should be added as the company scales.
• Produce clear, accurate and timely financial reporting that enables leadership to understand performance, outlook and key financial drivers quickly.
• Own the company financial model, annual budget, periodic forecasts and variance analysis
• Flag variances, risks and issues early, clearly and with recommended next steps.

Improve systems and processes

• Own and improve the accounting system(s), and introduce automation that makes financial processes faster, more accurate and scalable.
• Streamline AR/AP, billing, expense and close workflows.
• Build repeatable, well‑documented processes rather than relying on one‑off effort.
• Provide financial modeling and analysis for major commercial opportunities, including pricing, margins, cost structures and potential financial risks.
• Support the CEO, COO and commercial leaders in evaluating the economics of significant client contracts and negotiations.
• Provide financial analysis to support significant business investments and other strategic decisions.

Support the team as it grows

• Manage and develop the lean finance and accounting team.
• Help scope and build the accounting function: people, systems and capabilities as the company’s needs expand.

What Success Looks Like

During your first 6–18 months, we would expect you to:

• Establish a reliable, on‑time monthly close with accurate financial statements.
• Give the CEO greater visibility into current financial performance.
• Implement strong, well‑documented accounting policies and internal controls.
• Clean up and standardize the general ledger, chart of accounts and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely, accurate tax filings and a smooth external audit or review.
• Improve the accounting systems and automate manual, error‑prone processes.
• Create a disciplined cadence for reporting, reconciliations and financial review.
• Build a clear roadmap for the accounting team, systems and controls RediMinds will need as it scales.

The Person We Are Looking For

You are a hands‑on accounting leader who takes pride in accurate books, a clean close and strong controls. You are equally comfortable owning the details yourself and building the processes that make the finance function reliable and scalable.

You are not dependent on a large team. You are willing to reconcile accounts, close the books, investigate inconsistencies and build processes yourself when necessary and as the company grows, you know how to turn that hands‑on work into a well‑run accounting organization.

You are detail‑oriented, organized and disciplined, with a strong sense of ownership over the integrity of the numbers. You understand that the finance function exists not only to record what happened, but to give the company reliable information it can act on.

Required Experience

• Experience in the accounting and financial operations of a technology, software or SaaS business, including strong knowledge of revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Typically 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including time in a Controller, Assistant Controller or Senior Accounting Manager role.
• Strong command of GAAP and core accounting, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, month‑end and year‑end close, and financial statement preparation.
• Demonstrated experience owning the full monthly close and producing accurate, timely financial statements.
• Experience establishing or substantially improving accounting processes, policies and internal controls.
• Experience managing cash, reconciliations and working capital.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and variance analysis.
• Experience analyzing contract economics, customer profitability or other commercial financial decisions.
• Experience coordinating tax filings and external audits or reviews with outside accountants.
• Hands‑on experience with accounting/ERP systems and comfort improving and automating financial processes.
• Ability and willingness to operate hands‑on within a lean organization while building for scale.
• CPA strongly preferred.

Compensation: $130,000–$150,000 per year, based on experience.
