Job summary

A financial consultancy firm is seeking a Financial Controller to support a fast-growing manufacturing business in Sandy Springs, Georgia. This newly created role blends plant controllership with strategic financial planning and analysis. Responsibilities include leading month-end closes, managing budgets, and analyzing profitability. Ideal candidates will have 3–5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience, possess strong costing abilities, and be proficient in advanced Excel. The position offers high visibility to senior leadership and a hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of manufacturing or plant accounting experience.
• Strong standard costing & inventory accounting background.
• Prior plant controller role or similar.
• Willing to travel approximately 1 week per month.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Build and manage full P&L forecasts and budgets.
• Develop and maintain standard costing and inventory controls.

This role blends plant controllership with strategic FP&A and will be highly visible to senior leadership.

What You’ll Own

• Lead month‑end close, reporting, and financial analysis
• Build and manage full P&L forecasts and budgets
• Develop and maintain standard costing and inventory controls

• Partner with operations on cost savings and margin improvement
• Support pricing, customer profitability, and acquisition integrations
• Oversee physical inventories and cycle counts
