Job summary

NC Associates are recruiting an experienced Financial Controller for a Chester-based, permanent, full-time role. You will run day-to-day finance, oversee reporting, controls, and accounting processes, contributing to senior management decisions.

The ideal candidate is fully qualified CIMA or ACCA, hands-on with Xero and Sage, and able to own the finance function while delivering accurate insights. This role offers a senior position within a supportive environment with broad exposure.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified CIMA or ACCA accountant.
• Experience as Financial Controller or senior finance level.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting and management accounts.
• Experience with month-end, year-end and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Proficient with Xero and Sage accounting software.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with financial data.

Responsibilities

Financial Controller Role Overview

NC Associates are working with an established business based in Chester who are looking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a hands-on senior finance position, suited to a fully qualified CIMA or ACCA accountant who enjoys being involved in the detail as well as providing accurate financial information and insight to support the wider business.

You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the finance function, overseeing financial reporting, controls and accounting processes while working closely with senior management.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience working across a range of accounting systems, including Xero and Sage, and be confident picking up new software where required.
