Job summary

Greenrise Technologies, a full‑service green infrastructure firm, seeks a Controller to lead the finance and accounting functions from its Nashville/Readyville base in TN. You will drive monthly closings, budgeting, and financial reporting while partnering with the CFO to support growth and acquisition activity.

The role requires CPA-style discipline, multi-site consolidation experience, and the ability to operate in a PE-backed setting. On-site presence in Readyville, TN is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years serving in Senior Accounting Manager/Controller role at a mid-sized company.
• Minimum of 3 years of audit at a national public accounting firm.
• Multi-location/entity financial consolidation.
• Willing to be on site in Readyville, TN.
• Construction/project accounting and multi-site/state field services experience - preferred.
• Exposure to working in a PE sponsored environment - preferred.
• Base, bonus, & equity -> profits interest units equal or greater than total cash compensation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO on continuous improvement initiatives as identified.
• Play a key role in supporting the integration of acquisitions.
• Manage the finance and accounting function for the business, including tax and treasury.
• Establish financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
• Perform the monthly closing process.
• Participate in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the annual capital and operating budget process in collaboration with other members of the executive team.
• Deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports.
• Lead external audits.
• Complete weekly flash/KPI dashboard, and manage key third-party relationships.
• Assist with P&C and other insurance programs along with bonding.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will be a key partner to the executive team in the execution of the company’s strategic growth and achievement of financial goals. The position requires above-average attention to detail, technical expertise, and competence, with a strong sense of urgency and discipline. This individual will enhance the finance/accounting infrastructure, take a hands‑on approach to leading the daily operations of the department, collaborate cross‑functionally to drive and achieve strategic business objectives, while gaining meaningful exposure to a private equity sale/exit process.
