Position Summary:

As the Controller of Forensic Fluids, you would be responsible for the accounting, medical billing, and human resources operations of the company, to include but not be limited to, the maintenance and enhancement of an accurate and timely system of accounting records, the production of financial reports, and the implementation of a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to: help guide management decision making, mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.

As a Controller at FFL, you will:
  • Manage the production of the annual budget, business and sales forecasting, and provide cost analysis.
  • Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies including medical billing practices and procedures.
  • Manage accounting, human resources, and medical billing functions (Medical Billing, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, General Ledger, Reporting, Reconciliations, Payroll, Human Resources, Tax Planning/Preparation) including any outsourced functional relationships as required.
  • Oversee and perform the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate, and contribute to, the development and reporting of additional key performance indicators and metrics that guide overall company operational and financial performance.
  • Lead and ensure accountability for department team members.
  • Prepare, issue, and monitor timely, accurate, and complete financial statements.
  • Participate in key decisions as a member of the leadership team.
  • Manage external relationships with insurance brokers, attorneys, and bankers.
  • Help in other areas of the company as necessary to support the overall growth of the organization.

What valuable experience and skills do you bring to the table?
  • You have earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, from an accredited college/university.
  • You possess CPA or CMA professional accounting designation, preferred.
  • You have 10+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
  • You have experience in medical billing and have worked with a small company.
  • You apply exceptional communication and relationship building skills.
  • You have strong attention to detail.
  • You are a results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner.
  • You are teamwork oriented.
  • Your EOS experience is a plus!
