Job description

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Financial Controller to own accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement across a multi-entity healthcare distribution business. This role reports to a fractional CFO and is ideal for someone who wants to build a high-performing finance function and grow into a CFO role

.Key Responsibilities

• Own the full monthly, quarterly, and annual close across three distinct (non-consolidating) entities, including intercompany accounting and significant balance-sheet management for an MSO entity
• Prepare accurate US GAAP financial statements and present results with clear variance analysis
• Lead NetSuite optimization and process automation following a recent system transition
• Redesign and own AP and AR processes end-to-end (eliminate backlog, implement standardized automated workflows)
• Drive inventory accuracy, controls, and PO-related accounting in a warehouse/distribution environment
• Design and maintain strong internal controls; serve as primary contact for external auditors
• Directly manage: Senior Staff Accountant, Financial Analyst, AP Clerk, AR Manager, and Billing Assistant
• Partner closely with operations, warehouse, procurement, and leadership to improve processes and support growth

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience with strong technical GAAP, close, and financial reporting skills
• Proven hands-on experience fixing AP/AR processes and implementing controls, ideally in inventory- or PO-heavy environments
• Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity structures
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Pharmacy, healthcare, distribution, or wholesale background is a significant plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• Bias to action, high ownership, and ability to operate independently with minimal oversight
