Uni-Source Supply, LLC is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and banking activities.

This hands-on leadership role is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a growing private company, managing daily functions, internal controls, and partnering with ownership.

You will work with ownership, internal teams, and external accountants to ensure accurate reporting, financial stability, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3+ years progressive accounting experience in a leadership role.
• Experience with GAAP, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Experience with audits and tax professionals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and performance metrics.
• Monitor cash flow and banking activities; manage relationships.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and banking activities.

This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a growing private company environment. The successful candidate will manage daily accounting functions, strengthen internal processes, oversee accounting staff, and serve as a key financial partner to company ownership.

The Financial Controller will work closely with ownership, internal team members, and external accounting partners to ensure accurate reporting, financial stability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory accounting, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, management reports, and financial performance metrics.
• Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and daily financial operations.
• Manage banking relationships and support cash management strategies.
• Supervise and review the work of accounting team members.
• Develop, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Partner with external accountants and tax professionals for audits, tax preparation, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.
• Provide financial insights, recommendations, and reporting to the President/Owner.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and special projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field experience preferred.
• Minimum of 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior experience in an Accounting Manager, Controller, or senior accounting leadership role.
• Experience managing or supervising accounting staff.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting processes.
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close.
• Experience working with outside CPA firms, auditors, and tax professionals.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with distribution, wholesale, inventory-based, or project-based businesses preferred.
