Overview

Position: Financial Center Representative (Banking/ Teller) – Non-exempt. This role is responsible for performing as both a Banker and Teller, delivering exceptional client service, ensuring operational and audit excellence, and making appropriate referrals. This position is located in New Orleans, LA.

Responsibilities
  • Perform teller transactions and balance, locate, and reconcile cash drawers, including end-of-day balancing procedures and reporting discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
  • Assist with balancing, locating, and reconciling vault and ATM transactions, as well as incoming and outgoing money shipments.
  • Open new accounts and handle client maintenance requests.
  • Contribute to the financial center’s success by achieving assigned referral goals.
  • Engage in consultative conversations with clients to build relationships, cross-sell, and promote Fidelity’s products and services.
  • Report to a supervisor for approvals when assistance is needed with transactions.
  • Provide customer assistance related to banking needs in person and over the phone.
  • Assist the supervisor with maintaining accurate reports and branch appearance standards.
  • Assist with mentoring associates and adhere to all bank policies and procedures.
  • Comply with regulatory rules and regulations evidenced through training and demonstrated ability.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as appointed by management.
  • Physical requirements: primarily sitting with some standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
Qualifications
  • Required: GED or High School diploma.
  • 1 year cash handling experience in a financial institution or retail environment.
  • Ability to travel across the company footprint as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Developed cognitive, intrapersonal, interpersonal, technology, leadership, and sales skills as outlined (problem solving, judgment, communication, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6 months of retail banking experience.
  • High-volume cash handling experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Perform teller transactions and manage cash reconciliation.
  • Open new accounts and handle client maintenance requests.
  • Engage with clients to build relationships and promote Fidelity products and services.
  • Report discrepancies and assist with branch operational tasks.
  • Maintain branch appearance and assist with mentoring associates.

  • Comply with regulatory rules and regulations; complete required training.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned by management.
