The Georgia Department of Education Office of State Schools is seeking a Financial Analyst Supervisor to serve as the primary liaison among the three State Schools—Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, Georgia Academy for the Blind, and Georgia School for the Deaf—and the Central Office. Occasional travel may be required.

You will oversee contract processes, manage procurement and AP tasks, and support federal programs with budgeting, reporting and compliance across the statewide education system.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree and four (4) years of professional job-related experience in accounting, billing and collection systems, or claims with two (2) years in a supervisory role; or six (6) years of professional job-related experience in general accounting with two (2) years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with governmental accounting at paraprofessional or professional level is preferred.
  • GAAP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate communication among the three State Schools and the GaDOE Contracts Support Unit.
  • Oversee new and renewal contract processes from initiation through closeout, ensuring compliance with policies for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform procurement functions including requisitions, receiver generation, and accounts payable processing.
  • Reconcile State Schools cash management and manage bid/receipts for payments.
  • Support Federal Programs budget and financial reporting and procurement activities.
