Job summary

Twenty-Six Defense, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, with Warfighter Systems operations in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a Financial Analyst to drive revenue, cost, and profitability analysis across a growing division. You will cross-functionally support Operations, Supply Chain, Contracts, and Program Management, delivering insights that influence decision-making.

The role requires 3+ years in accounting/finance, strong Excel skills, and experience with ASC 606, GAAP, and SOX controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA/CMA a plus but not required.
• “3+ years of Accounting/Finance experience, preferably in revenue and cost accounting.”
• Experience with ASC 606, GAAP, SOX controls, and ERP systems (Infor preferred).
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including complex formulas and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Generate accurate, timely reports on revenue, margin, and orders; analyze revenue and cost drivers.
• Lead monthly Revenue & Cost of Goods Sold reconciliation; manage revenue recognition processes.
• Set up new projects in the financial system and reconcile revenue, cost, and inventory.
• Support POCC accounting for government projects; prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and establish standard costs; update as needed.
• Assist with inventory valuation and regular reconciliations; support cycle counts.
• Perform monthly closing activities and related account reconciliations; use BlackLine.
• Ensure GAAP/SOX compliance and support audits; collaborate with Finance & IT on ERP transitions.
