Summary

The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

Essential Functions

1. Analysis of unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
2. Accounts Payable processing for all licensing as needed, e.g., lawyer fees, broker fees, toll vendor refunds.
3. Reconciliation and analysis of prepaid license, sales tax, and personal property tax fees, including amortization schedules, liaising with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance.
4. Providing financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and tools.
5. Ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
6. Acting as Licensing Team liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
7. Making accounting decisions on projects and system enhancements, maintaining controls, and assisting with audits.
8. Supporting upper management with projects related to vehicle accounting, rebates, and compliance; leading process improvements.
9. Month-End Closing tasks including journal entries, variance explanations, and ledger research.
10. Collaborating with licensing and operations teams to identify revenue and efficiency opportunities.
11. Conducting financial analysis and reporting on regional and branch performance, cost, and trend monitoring.
