Job Summary

The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

Essential Functions

1. Analyze unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
2. Process Accounts Payable for licensing needs, including lawyer fees, broker fees, toll vendor refunds, etc.
3. Reconcile and interpret business functions of all license prepaid fees, including setup of amortization schedules, ensuring accuracy, and liaising with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance.
4. Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and financial tools.
5. Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
6. Act as liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
7. Make accounting decisions on projects, system enhancements, and analytics; maintain Sarbanes-Oxley controls; assist with quarterly audits.
8. Assist management with special projects, process improvements, and regulatory compliance related to vehicles and rebates.
9. Participate in month-end closing activities, including journal entries, variance explanations, and ledger research.
10. Collaborate on operational initiatives to identify revenue, cost, and productivity improvements across regions.
11. Conduct financial analysis and reporting, monitor performance trends, and reconcile accounts.
