Summary
The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.
Essential Functions
- Analysis of unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
- Accounts Payable processing for all licensing processing as needed, e.g., lawyer fees for NYC, broker fees NYC, toll vendor refund processing.
- Reconciliation, review, and interpretation of all license prepaid fees including license, title, sales, and personal property tax, completing setup of amortization schedules. Analyze amortization of prepaid fees to ensure accuracy and liaise with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance.
- Provide financial training to Business Unit staff, including policies, procedures, and financial tools.
- Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
- Act as Licensing Team liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
- Make appropriate accounting decisions on projects, system enhancements, and analytics. Maintain Sarbanes-Oxley controls and assist with quarterly audits.
- Assist upper management with special projects related to vehicle accounting, rebates, and regulatory compliance. Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
- Handle month-end closing activities, including journal entries, variance explanations, and general ledger research.
- Collaborate with the Director of Licensing Compliance and License team to identify revenue, cost, and productivity improvement opportunities.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting, monitor performance trends, and reconcile accounts.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
- At least four years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations.
