Summary

Job Description: The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

Essential Functions

1. Analysis of unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
2. Accounts Payable processing for all licensing processing as needed, e.g., lawyer fees for NYC, broker fees NYC, toll vendor refund processing.
3. Reconciliation, review, and interpretation of all licenses prepaid fees, including license, title, sales, and personal property tax, completing amortization schedules and liaising with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance.
4. Provide financial training to Business Unit staff, including policies, procedures, and financial tools.
5. Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projection.
6. Act as Licensing Team liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
7. Make appropriate accounting decisions on projects & system enhancements, maintain Sarbanes-Oxley controls, and assist with quarterly audits.
8. Assist upper management with projects related to vehicle accounting, rebates, and regulatory compliance; lead process improvements.
9. Handle month-end closing activities, including journal entries, variance explanations, and general ledger research.
10. Identify and recommend operational improvements for revenue, costs, and productivity.
11. Perform financial analysis and reporting, including performance trending, cost analysis, and reconciliation of accounts.
