Job Summary

The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

Essential Functions

1. Analyze unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
2. Process Accounts Payable for licensing, lawyer fees, broker fees, toll vendor refunds, etc.
3. Reconcile and interpret business functions of license, tax, and prepaid fees, including amortization schedules; liaise with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance.
4. Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and tools.
5. Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
6. Coordinate with Ryder's Shared Services, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
7. Make accounting decisions on projects, system enhancements, and analytics; maintain controls and assist audits.
8. Support upper management with special projects, process improvements, and regulatory compliance.
9. Manage month-end closing activities, including journal entries, variance explanations, and ledger research.
10. Identify revenue, cost, and productivity opportunities in operational initiatives.
11. Conduct financial analysis and reporting, including performance trending, cost analysis, and reconciliation.
