Summary

Job Description: The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers.

Essential Functions
  1. Analysis of unbilled items for license and sales tax prepaid items over customer contract amount.
  2. Accounts Payable processing for licensing, lawyer fees, broker fees, toll vendor refunds, etc.
  3. Reconciliation and analysis of prepaid fees including license, sales tax, and property tax, ensuring accuracy and liaising with Financial Reporting & HQ Finance.
  4. Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures, and tools.
  5. Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and accurate financial projections.
  6. Act as Licensing Team liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center, Corporate Accounting, and Tax Departments.
  7. Make accounting decisions on projects, system enhancements, and analytics; maintain Sarbanes-Oxley controls; assist with audits.
  8. Support upper management with special projects related to vehicle accounting, rebates, and compliance; lead process improvements.
  9. Manage Month-End Closing, including journal entries, variance explanations, and ledger research.
  10. Identify and recommend revenue, cost, and productivity improvements in collaboration with licensing and operations teams.
  11. Conduct financial analysis and reporting on regional and branch performance, cost analysis, and reconciliation of vehicle and tax accounts.
