Description:
Under general supervision, performs financial analysisactivities. Analyzes return, depreciation, and investment rations;profit and loss income statements; and trends in sales, finance,and other areas of business.
1. Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financialstatements.
2. Analyze financial accounting data and documents trends.
3. Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis of reports.
4. Monitor and reconcile FRS accounting activities; prepareentries, modifications and analysis.
5. Assist with maintenance of financial reporting systems andprovide technical support.
6. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical andpractical aspects of an analytical, technical or professionaldiscipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professionaldiscipline. The Financial Analyst supports the continued operational successof Houston Public Media by ensuring that immediate and futurebusiness activities are appropriately reflected within theaccounting records adhering to compliance guidelines established bythe University and/or State guidelines.
