Job summary

Tactica Solutions LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead planning for installation electrical infrastructure at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. You will drive lifecycle planning and ensure power systems are safe, resilient, and sustainable.

This role focuses on data-driven infrastructure, coordinating with AMPs, and collaborating across teams to deliver survivable power and energy resilience. Experience with SMS/builders and security clearances may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical distribution and power-generation components of the Utilities AMP using SMS data.
• Assess facilities' electrical systems via BUILDER SMS; develop lifecycle maintenance/replacement schedules.
• Integrate Installation Energy Plan goals into the AMP process; prioritize survivable power and energy resilience.
• Coordinate electrical infrastructure planning with mechanical and civil AMPs for unified utility corridors.
• Perform inventories and inspections of leased and federal facilities, including plants, systems, equipment, occupants, and footprints.
• Maintain SMS records and coordinate utility projects with teams across flights and stakeholders.

Overview

Tactica Solutions is searching for an Electrical Engineer to lead planning for installation electrical infrastructure. This role supports safe, resilient, and sustainable power systems through accurate asset data and coordinated lifecycle planning.Location: Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

• Lead the electrical distribution and power-generation components of the Utilities AMP using Utilities Sustainment Management System (SMS) data.
• Assess electrical systems within facilities through BUILDER SMS and develop lifecycle maintenance and replacement schedules.
• Integrate Installation Energy Plan (IEP) goals into the AMP process and prioritize survivable power, backup-power capabilities, and energy resilience.
• Align electrical infrastructure planning with mechanical and civil AMPs to support coordinated utility-corridor management and project execution.
• Conduct required physical inventories and compliance inspections of leased and federally owned facilities, including plants, systems, installed equipment, occupants, and facility footprints.
• Maintain accurate Sustainment Management System records and collaborate across flights to coordinate utility infrastructure projects and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

Education / Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent field from an institution accredited in the United States.

Required Experience:

• At least 3 years of military facility/infrastructure experience.
• At least 5 years of electrical engineering experience.

Clearance:

• Satisfactory outcome of a background investigation for Tier 1 access is required.

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
