Job summary

SumBridge is seeking a Financial Analyst to consolidate, analyze, and communicate key financial data in a manufacturing setting. This hybrid role is based in the Greater Seattle/Eastside area and collaborates with operations, engineering, and executive leadership to improve performance and drive strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of FP&A experience, a finance-related degree, and a solid grasp of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3+ years FP&A experience in manufacturing.
• Understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Experience tracking one-time engineering costs for new product programs (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Report and analyze actuals, trends, and performance vs budget/forecast.
• Track financial performance of R&D programs and related costs.
• Partner with Accounting on monthly/ quarterly/ annual close processes.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
• Update financial models with latest inputs.

Job Summary

We are seeking an analytical, creative, and forward-thinking Financial Analyst who is passionate about building solutions and driving continuous improvement. This role is responsible for consolidating, analyzing, and communicating critical financial data in support of strategic decision-making. Operating within a complex manufacturing environment, the Financial Analyst acts as a cross-functional partner, bridging the gap between operational activities and executive financial reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Report and analyze actuals, historical trends, and performance of bookings, sales, and margin against budget and forecast
• Track and analyze the financial performance of research & development programs, including upfront engineering and product development costs and, if applicable, any ASC 606 revenue recognition implications
• Partner with Accounting on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts
• Update assigned financial models with the latest actuals, assumptions, and business inputs
• Provide financial analysis in support of the annual strategic plan and key initiatives
• Support the creation of standard reporting packages
• Prepare and assemble financial presentation decks for monthly management reviews
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of FP&A processes, templates, and tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant FP&A experience
• Prior experience within the manufacturing industry is required, including an understanding of how operational and production activities tie into financial reporting
• Experience tracking, analyzing, and reporting one-time engineering and development costs for custom or new product programs (preferred)
• Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with close attention to detail
• High level of integrity, ownership, and willingness to learn

• Candidates must be local to Washington State; relocation assistance is not offered for this position
• This is a hybrid role with a regular onsite presence required at the client's Eastside location
